InnoComm Launches MediaTek Genio 360 EVK to Accelerate Edge GenAI and Scalable AIoT Development

Built on MediaTek’s Genio 360, a 6nm value-tier IoT platform, the EVK brings advanced performance and AI capabilities—previously reserved for premium-tier solutions—into the entry-level segment. The Genio 360 features a hexa-core CPU architecture, combining a high-performance Cortex-A76 core running up to 2.0GHz with five Cortex-A55 cores also up to 2.0GHz, delivering an optimal balance of responsiveness, power efficiency, and thermal performance for edge devices.

 

For the first time, the Genio 360 enables on-device GenAI acceleration in value-tier devices. Its 8th generation MediaTek NPU delivers 5.1 TOPS, with total system AI performance exceeding 6 TOPS, allowing developers to implement sophisticated edge AI and GenAI applications.

The platform supports rich multimedia experiences, including:

 

  • Single 4K60 display or dual FHD60 displays

  • Single 16MP camera at 30fps, or up to 6 FHD30 cameras via MIPI virtual channels

  • 4K30 video decode

 

With flexible I/O expansion, the EVK supports: PCIe Gen2, USB 3.2 Gen1, dual USB 2.0, GbE MAC (TSN), and pre-integrated Wi-Fi 5, with options for more advanced external Wi-Fi solutions.

The Genio 360 EVK supports Android, IoT Yocto, and Ubuntu, making it ideal for consumer, industrial, and enterprise applications. In addition, the platform guarantees 10-year supply longevity and operates across commercial and industrial temperature ranges, ensuring reliable performance for long-term deployments.

 

For higher-performance requirements, the pin-compatible Genio 360P offers 2x Cortex-A76 and 6x Cortex-A55 coreswith enhanced NPU throughput, providing even greater edge AI capability.
